Dr Ushank Ranasinghe

Dr Ushank Ranasinghe is a Dual Specialist in Endocrinology and Acute and General Care Medicine.

Ushank graduated from the University of Manchester UK in 2011 and completed his physician training at the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle and Royal Darwin Hospital to obtain a dual fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).

He has published research in leading international peer-reviewed journals and presented at various national and international conferences. Ushank is keen to provide patient-centred care through a holistic approach. He also has experience in perioperative medicine and has completed a perioperative medicine course from Monash University.

Ushank will be offering consultative services across Diabetes and Endocrinology. His clinical areas of interest include all aspects of diabetes care, including diabetes in pregnancy, perioperative and postoperative diabetes management, osteoporosis, electrolyte disorders, immunotherapy-related endocrinopathies and general endocrinology. He is happy to discuss patients and review consultations promptly.

Ushank is now providing care to patients admitted to Maitland Private Hospital and will be starting outpatient consulting service end of March.
