Dr Ramy Makary hasbeen a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist since 2008.
In 2000 he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine andSurgery with Honours from the University of Cairo. In2008 he obtained a Master’s Degree in Gastrointestinal,liver and infectious diseases from the University of Cairo.He also has a specialty certificate in Gastroenterology fromthe Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom.
Dr Makary completed his Fellowship at St George Hospitalin Sydney and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian Collegeof Physicians (RACP).
Dr Makary has extensive experience in the managementof gastrointestinal and liver diseases. He is accredited forgastroscopy and colonoscopy by the Conjoint Committeefor the Recognition of Training in GastrointestinalEndoscopy.
Dr Makary’s special interests include:
• Diagnostic and Therapeutic Gastroscopies
• Colonoscopies including Bowel Cancer Screening
• Management of general gastroenterology, biliary andliver diseases.
